Change Computername in My Computer Icon

If you want to change the text under "My Computer" Icon so it will be your computer name. do as described below.

All setting made by changing registry:
(open the registry by clicking start > run > regedit)


1. go to [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\CLSID\{20D04FE0-3AEA-1069-A2D8-08002B30309D}]
2.  You cannot edit this as the administrator, (only trustedinstaller is given write access) so you must take ownership of the parent registry key/s first, then assign your accounts rights to write to the key
3. Modify LocalizedString value.
4. Replace The Data on LocalizedString to %COMPUTERNAME%
5. Restart

After restart, the computer name will be shown under the computer icon.
In the example below, my computer name is "Megatron..."
